We collect only what we need to tell you when Founders Drop 001 preorders open and to share product updates.
Who we are.
FIELD // LAB, San Francisco, California, is responsible for the information collected on this website. Contact us about anything in this notice at hello@fieldlabgear.com.
What we collect.
- Email address, when you join the preorder list, a Notify me list or the development updates list.
- Product interest: which product you asked about.
- EARTH or MARS preference, or both.
- Size, for clothing on the preorder list, and any accessories you pick for Field Essentials.
- Consent time: when you agreed to receive emails.
- A hashed network address for abuse prevention. When you submit a form, we store a one-way salted hash of your IP address with a count in a short-lived rate-limit record. We do not store the IP address itself.
- Browser storage: your EARTH or MARS display preference is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is not sent to us.
We do not collect payment details. Preorders are not open and no payment is taken.
Why we use it.
To email you when Drop 001 preorders open, when a product you asked about is ready to preorder, and with product development updates you agreed to receive. Size and environment preferences help us plan production quantities. The hashed address is used only to limit repeated or automated submissions.
What we don't do.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This website runs no advertising or analytics trackers.
Service providers.
Vercel hosts this website and processes requests to it. Neon provides the database where list sign-ups are stored. They process data on our behalf to run the service. If we start using an email delivery provider to send launch emails, we will add it here.
How long we keep it.
List sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the product you asked about is discontinued. Rate-limit records are deleted within 24 hours.
Your choices and rights.
Email hello@fieldlabgear.com to ask what information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to unsubscribe or to have it deleted. Every launch email will also include a way to unsubscribe. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
California residents. The California Consumer Privacy Act and related laws may give you rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information. Send requests to hello@fieldlabgear.com; we may need to confirm your email address before acting on them. This summary describes our practices and is not legal advice.
Changes.
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will not apply to information collected earlier without your consent where required.
